DFA2 Racing is a San Diego based mother-son cycling team built around a shared love of sport, competition, and adventure. What began as a son’s passion for cycling became an unexpected journey for his mom—one that led to greater strength, confidence, and a love of racing all her own. Today, we train, race, travel, and chase big goals together. Along the way, we hope to show that sport can be about more than results. It can challenge us to become stronger versions of ourselves, create experiences we’ll never forget, and deepen the connections that matter most.

Get to Know Us
This journey began before Beric was born. I was introduced to cycling by good friends who wanted to create a crew that rode mountain bikes together on local trails. I slowly developed some skills and built fitness in an effort to keep up with friends. About two years into that journey, Beric showed up. I carried him up Mount Palomar, in my belly, to watch stage 1 of the 2013 Tour of California.
